THE FLATS – Georgia Tech’s National Football Foundation On-Campus Hall of Fame Salute to Paul Johnson will be held on Saturday, Oct. 28 in conjunction with the Yellow Jackets’ homecoming game versus North Carolina, the NFF announced on Tuesday.

The NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salute is one of the College Football Hall of Fame’s most time-honored traditions, dating back to the Hall of Fame’s inaugural class in 1951. As part of the festivities, Johnson – who has been selected for induction to the College Football Hall of Fame in December – will be honored during an in-game, on-field ceremony. As part of the ceremony, he will be presented with his Hall of Fame plaque.

A lot of this board blames him for not being more successful.

Engr quick view mentality is - "how can we cut spending in area where things going well and move it to area not doing well.

Cpj always was starved for resources.

We will never know what could have happened if he had a recruiting budget.

If he had anywhere close to equal talent as some of the big boys, he wins it all. He did at southern and look what he did.
He was never going to get equal talent with 3O and GT academics. But the great thing in his career at both Navy and GT is having even close to equal talent was normally a win for his teams. I hope the debates about PJ go away. He had a terrific career and deserved to get in HOF. There is no way to know how he would fare today. And frankly detracts from his coaching career performance.

3O and academics screams for way more recruiting budget. On friday night Andy Mac and wife went to every Niceville to recruit JThomas. Then she drove drove back and he slept in car to get rest before sunrise coaches meeting.

Cpj will be judged a genius based on in game play calling blocking adjustments. Imo, his best was not yhe orange bowl
It was against uva and miami the last year. That year the Ol was patchwork at end of year, qb s last 9 completions - 4 int and 5 to us. UVA had stud dl guy, but somehow we got parker on him when we needed first down. Also miami gad horse dt that qb and center tricked as we made td.
