Congrats are in order for Mr. Okogie who garnered co-player of the week honors with some UNC guy (J. Berry).

Okogie averaged 27 points in two Georgia Tech victories last week, including a school freshman record 38 points in Saturday’s 82-68 victory over Tulane. In that game, Okogie hit 12 of 20 shots from the floor and 13 of 18 from the free throw line. He eclipsed the previous freshman mark of 33 by Mark Price against Virginia on March 12, 1983 (ACC Tournament) and Dion Glover against Seton Hall on March 11, 1998 (NIT).Okogie’s 38 points were the fourth-most points by a freshman in ACC history and the most since Boston College’s Olivier Hanlan scored 41 (the ACC freshman record) against Georgia Tech in the 2013 ACC Tournament.

Imagine how good he'll be when he improves his shooting and otherwise figures out what he's doing.

Not to take anything away from Josh Okogie, but I wonder what Mark Price's scoring numbers would have been like if there had been a 3 point rule.

IIRC, (but memory is the second thing to go as you get old) there was a trial 3 pt shot in the ACC his freshman year - shorter than the one they adopted a few years later.

There was a 3 point line in the 82-83 season for MP, 19'9". He avg 20.3 ppg, his single season high average as they did away with the 3 point line after his fr year, he shot 44% from 3 pt range.
