...we all know who we play that day.

we CANNOT have a mutt crowd takeover similar to 2021. I do understand that uga inevitably takes up 40-50% of the crowd, but what happened in 2021 is unacceptable and we CAN'T have it happen again.

WHEN SINGLE GAME TICKETS GO ON THE MARKET. PLEASE BUY AS MANY TICKETS AS YOU CAN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!

even if you can't go to the game, you can sell/give the ticket to a GT friend you know, or simply do nothing with it and have the pleasure of knowing that NO BULLDOG is sitting in that seat.

This also gives money to the GT athletic department, which is ALWAYS good.

We need to stand up for ourselves, and win or lose Bobby Dodd Stadium is OUR turf. We need to defend it!

GO JACKETS!

That would be a good project for GT clubs to do. Organize that once every other year get together of GT club members from around the country to converge in Atlanta for the Tech/Ga game

The single tickets are not the problem. From all of the red between the 30 yard lines on the east and west stands the past several times we played them at BDS, it seems to me the real problem is season ticket holders selling their tickets to the game to the enemy, which to me is completely unacceptable. I would never ever think about doing that, and cannot understand any Tech fan who would.

What do folks get on resale market? Shameful, whatever amount.
I’ll hopefully go or give them to a GT fan, or at least someone who also hates Uga (I have some UF friends).

Still think clubs could get together to buy those season tickets and flip them out to members. It just takes choosing pride over dollars. Either from the seller or the buyer.

With gt possibly getting left behind in football, i hope gtaa is keeping track of who is selling their prime seats to dawg fans.

As kelly says on rivals = gt has 1 guy w "coin" who spends it like he will just make more. Uga has 100.

Not sure how the GTAA would track this; perhaps you have some ideas.

I had some season ticket-holder “neighbors” that were unable to attend several games and sold their tickets on the secondary market. One time they asked me if there had been rival fans in their seats. I confirmed that there were. Since they couldn’t tell which fanbase they were selling to, how would GTAA?

Season ticket holders would benefit from a secondary market app or website which required purchasers to attest to which teams they were fans of. This wouldn’t stop the occasional mutt fan from falsely claiming to be a GT fan just to get tickets, but it could discourage some. Perhaps registering with something like the “team flair” used on Reddit would help.

Also, mutt fans are purchasing a (likely) significant percentage of GT season tickets in years when they play us at BDS. They simply sell all but the UGA game tickets on the secondary market and can recoup a portion of their cost to the point where they net out a game cost lower than tickets for the GT game in Athens. Not sure how widespread this practice is but it happens. The GTAA gladly accepts this income since the mutt fan's dollars are just as green. The best solution to this is to start winning, build our fanbase excitement and loyalty, and sell more season tickets to true GT fans. Unfortunately, increased demand will tend to lead to increased prices. We have cheap GT fans who complain about $25 tickets while rabid mutt fans gladly pay 10x that.

The unfortunate reality is most tech fans have uga friends. As gross as it may be, I am a culprit/victim of said friendship. Sometimes friends help eachother out. (Not saying I’ve allowed them to enter my stadium, but this seems to be the problem for others)
This appears to be the answer for so many other concerns, but wins prevent this. If tech has 7+ wins heading into hate week, you can bet your *** this game won’t be seen as a waste of a Saturday to some anymore.
Our painful fandom is coming to a close brothers, I can feel it. Even if we collect another L this year, they will know Tech is back.

Two years ago, when uga was in the hunt for their first NC since Hershel, I was offered by some uga friends of mine to purchase my seats for the game. At what I was offered, I could have recouped almost 75% of my season ticket cost had I accepted.

My brother and my dad are die-hard uga fans. I have brought both of them to games before.

Note: My maternal Grandfather was a die-hard GT fan. When I was a child he would pick me up on Saturdays to watch football with him so, as he put it: "I didn't have to suffer through the child abuse of being forced to root for the mutts."

I grew up in a pure tech house and my dad told me when I asked him who he wanted to win between bama and uga
“I’d root for the taliban before the filthy dawgs”

You guys are nuts. Why do you think you have any say in what any person who buys a ticket can do with that ticket? You sound like a bunch of power tripping guys. How about the sane solution instead of looking for witches. Give GT fans a product on the field they want to show up and see. All of these topics are easily solveable but GT simply refuses to play the athletics game like it needs to be played. And that leads to GT fans going on witch hunts for other GT fans. It’s all ridiculous. GT has plenty of resources, ie. Money, they could reallocate to buy football players which lead to wins. They don‘t do it because they know our fanbase is stupid. Our fanbase talks about everything except the elephant in the room. NIL is a tool that any school can use to buy players legally. And we still don’t do it. GT has been playing us all for suckers and now we have GT fans wanting to somehow harm other GT fans for giving away or selling tickets. It’s just ridiculous. If we have a garbage product this year then you SHOULD sell your tickets. Let someone else subsidize GT’s idiocy.

Yeah promote selling your tickets to UGA fans when we’re bad. Our current and future recruits will love the sea of red while we’re getting spanked as well.

Supporting your team when it’s bad doesn’t mean Tech will accept mediocrity. We just fired a dude (and his best friend that kept him around). Slightly overdue, but things are changing.

Do you seriously think any bad team should just fill the stands with opposition? That sounds like the fastest way to sink a program’s athletics.

And like the comment above, do you even like tech? We’re only implying that you look to sell to tech fans first. Hit the sauna and eat a snickers man.

And btw we were substantially higher than many other ACC schools with our recruiting budget this year. I promise you players are getting some money as well.

We've been through this several times. GT cannot legally reallocate resources that were given as designated gifts. Only money given directly for football or given free and clear with no other designation can be used for football. As I have asked you before, if you can show where GT is not using money that could freely be used for football for football, I'd like to know where that is. All of our academic money is generally designated, and most of our Olympic sports that have scholarships (i.e. Golf) have backers that back that sport specifically.

This is just sad that you buy that story. There are ways to reallocate everything. There is just no will to do it by those in charge. UGA is the model. They decided they wanted to be great, not just good and they they went out as a unified group, bulldozed the existing system and now have a pipeline.

And no where did I say I wanted a stadium full of the opposition. But I also don’t want a stadium full of morons who act as if other GT fans who didn’t sit in their seats for every game are some how not real fans. And you know what got the ball rolling on the previous guy being ousted? The sea of red in our own stadium. See, actions actually speak louder than words or witch hunts. Sure, Key may be a good solid coach who gets us back to 8 wins or so. But do you think he’ll beat his head against the wall year after year with our admin playing the “our hands are tied” game when he is getting multiple job offers after each season? He’s a GT guy thru and thru but if he is successful he’ll have way better future opportunities than the poor excuses GT continually uses. GT has money to buy enough 4 stars to be highly competitive. The folks in charge make rules they can hide behind for not using it on sports.

No. There isn't. Please explain what legal loopholes exist that would allow GT to move designated funds into any area they wish.
He can’t because he has no idea what he’s talking has, has never been a major donor, or been on the inside of GT as a university professor or administrator handling endorsements (I’ve been all three).
But the good news is we have an ignore button that works fantastically, which I appreciate greatly.
