I would think so. And Fox had floated an idea that they might try to stage their own tournament with Big 12, Big Ten and Pac teams (the conferences with whom they have media rights).

It will be interesting to see how this new NIT works out. The Power 6 teams will host the first 2 games per the news release. How interested will those teams fans be in attending a home NIT game? Likely that will vary greatly. TV will be the key. Will anyone actually watch the NIT games going forward?
