How old is Chubb? Can he go to the NFL next year?

On medical red shirt, it seems awful late in the season with that being his 6th game? I know it's a case by case basis, but are there some general guidelines?

PCL=Posterior Cruciate Ligament (had to look it up). Also may be out 3 weeks to 6 months depending on severity. I only watched it once and it looked really painful. My leg / knee would never do that without a lot of pain. http://orthoinfo.aaos.org/topic.cfm?topic=a00420

Hate it form him. He was in the same region as my high school watched him play for 4 years real tough kid.
