Knee isn't designed to bend the way that it did.

Hope he gets fixed up and is able at least "walk" normally in the future.

Looks like a PCL tear and other ligaments.
Surgery to follow in a couple of weeks from what was posted by his Mom.

PCL=Posterior Cruciate Ligament (had to look it up). Also may be out 3 weeks to 6 months depending on severity. I only watched it once and it looked really painful. My leg / knee would never do that without a lot of pain. http://orthoinfo.aaos.org/topic.cfm?topic=a00420

Hate it form him. He was in the same region as my high school watched him play for 4 years real tough kid.
