My gut is Chris is satisfied as QB coach. I think Brian Bo would do fine if we went that direction.
He better show his playbook.... hes history is option heavy nobody has appetite for that. If hes guy option centric or not he will loss a good bit more in players then others

An out of left field coach I like is Nick Rolovich. Problem is his offensive philosophy conflicts with Key’s run the bawl as he is a run and shoot coach. Some of y’all may have seen his offense at Cal this year especially against SMU ( He was interim HC that game) when his freshman QB was ripping it.Think Philo would thrive in his offense.

Guys, come on. Every successfully offense we’ve had in the past 35 years has been option heavy. Ralph (twice), CPJ, Buster.

If we do this right we will hire someone that is option heavy. I’m not saying it will be from under center out of the flexbone, but it’s how you level the playing field in college.

I have seen people on this forum say if Buster left he would take Philo with him. Does anyone know anything about this. Was that speculation or is there truth to it

His historically option style and Faulkners are night and day. Not saying he cannot run a modern style but he sorta has a stagmata

He ran a different offense at Kennesaw and came here to learn to incorporate more concepts. Faulkner was strictly an air raid guy until he worked under Monken.

I say this not because he is a Tech Man, but UNLV had a top 10 offense based on scoring efficiency. Now, we would need to know how involved he was in calling the plays or was he OC in title only with Mullen be the primary play caller,

if Weinke doesn’t want to be the main man:

Kendall Briles- Sonny ain’t long for this world, would be fun to see philo sling it 40 times a game

Top FCS offense in the country, Relatively young

2 years as WCU OC, former QB. Took over for Pitts current OC. Kerwin Bell school, pro style spread

Played under Malzahn at Tulsa. Lots of experience in Div II and III. Texas state is 8th in Div 1 in total offense

Old Dominion OC. More experience than any above in D1. Top 20 O
