That is actually a good question. Some may see it as snarky but I don’t. Since Collins speaks in platitudes it is impossible to tell what his expectations are or how to measure progress. Would be interesting to know the answer.

Once you put a number or a concrete goal out there, you can fail. “Improvement” is a nebulous term that can be defined any way one wishes.

I think it is clear to people around the program that next level is a bowl next year or his next level will not be HC of GT

I guess it depends on when it was used. When he first came in I assumed it was something like almost always win your division and play for championships almost every year and win that about 40
% to 50% of the time.

Now next level is to just get back to Chan Gailey level (7 wins and a bowl game). He is 2 levels away from CPJ

Well, for now we'll have to brace up that one and see if it will last a while longer.
