Yep, I was on Twitter (X) for years but finally left it last month. There’s been quite the exodus from there. Russian bots and troll farms have created a really obnoxious atmosphere.
It has really been a fascinating thing to watch as the echo chambers evolve with the Russians influencing twitter and the Chinese influencing Bluesky. People are just people. They believe what they want to believe that reinforces what they want to be true. Even when its wrong. They look for confirmation bias and echo chambers are a naturally according thing. Even when they both have 50 shades of right and wrong, what they want to be true is believed and what is wrong is never spoken about. The omissions are worse than the lies

We are all being manipulated. Some maybe more than others. I’ve left all the main social media platforms. I may try Bluesky next year. I’ll wait and see. People report they are actually able to have civil discussions on it like they used to on Twitter. The straw that broke the camels back for me on X was seeing people make violent threats and not getting banned.

Blue Sky is just liberal Parler.

This is also a discussion for a different thread and forum.
You can use Bluesky pretty easily without ever seeing any form of political content. Most of the big sports journalists and reporters are there now. Being able to view their updates in a chronological timeline without an algorithm trying to bait me into something else is a godsend.

It is easier for me to find some of the sports content I care about, with much less spam.

Sports is one of the last groups that moved over, and it just moved month

There’s some content that’s only on X, but it’s getting much harder to find and share

"Imagine the kind of privileged bubble you’d have to live in to be able to convince yourself that, after firing a genial 73-year-old coach, who seemed to be losing his grasp on the rapidly changing world of college football, a surly, 72-year-old coach with little or no grasp on college football is the right guy to replace him."

The entire search process has been hilarious to watch unfold. Nobody is aligned, and they have been drumming up ole Bill as a way to draw "star power" interest in the vacancy. It has failed spectacularly to the point that they are almost forced to hire Bill now or start begging people to apply for the HC job. The number of talented names they have ran off from this job is amazing.

So what you're saying is that TFG is now their only hope?
