He was the Washington Commanders OC last year. They stunk with former UNC QB Sam Howell. Whole staff got fired.

A common UNC fan complaint about Mack Brown was his age (currently 73). Belichick is a whole 8 months younger, so I suppose that's a small step in the right direction.
