Belichick won't last 5 minutes in this new age of college football between NIL, recruiting, and transfers. I can't think of anyone who would be worse than him at relating to 18-22 year olds although he did score that hot young chick so who knows.

One of the reasons Auburn fired him was recruiting. The NFL hated Malzahn’s offense and the inability of Auburn players to be developed into League talent. This was confirmed by multiple Auburn players who did get sniffs in the League.

Gus was well liked. But he was recognized as a terrible recruiter and unable (or unwilling) to develop talent.

I can’t see any recruit who wants to make it to the League who considers this a positive.

A common UNC fan complaint about Mack Brown was his age (currently 73). Belichick is a whole 8 months younger, so I suppose that's a small step in the right direction.

Belichek, like Saban, would definitely not last in this new age of 18-22 year old kids having power. It's really hard to believe he doesn't already know this himself, but maybe he just wants to get paid one more time for a few years? Who knows?
