Not really, the goal is top 8, doesn't matter if it's 1st or 8th, you're going be matched via seeding and from what I'm seeing there really isn't any great advantage to being seeded 1st. It's still head to head with the team you're seeded against.

Damn this course is playing tough! Of the top 10 teams, no one is under par and only one team (LSU) is even for the day!
