NCAA C'ship will be held in Bradenton, FL from May 29-Jun 3.

There will be 3 rounds of stroke play from May 29-June 1. The top 8 teams will advance to the match play rounds on June 2 and 3.

Georgia Tech is seeded #10 and will start stroke play paired with Oklahoma University and Stanford for the first two rounds. OU was red hot in the regionals and Stanford is good too. Tech has been off color lately. Need Ollie and Anders to lead the way and get some good performances out of the 2 freshmen (Clark and Petefish) and Whaley.
Tech tees-off at 1:30pm eastern time on Friday and at 8:10am on Saturday. Good luck, and go Jackets!

Petefish's a freshman. When they say "first full season", they mean this year/season. Ollie and Albertson are seniors this year. http://www.ramblinwreck.com/sports/m-golf/mtt/geot-m-golf-mtt.html

Tech finishes with a score of five over par and tied for 6th (at the moment). They had to fight some bad weather towards the end which is why the scores towards the end look bad. Albertson was stellar in round 1 with a personal score of 3 under par.

The other teams playing with Tech -- Stanford and Oklahoma -- had a disastrous day. They are both supposed to be really good teams but are languishing at the bottom. Looking at those two teams struggle, I think we did ok.

UGA were on the course when the weather was good. They are second at the moment with an even par score. Only 3 teams are left on the course.

Tech tees-off early tomorrow at 8:10am. The weather in south-central florida is great all day tomorrow, so we should see some great minus scores and many top seeds that struggled today claw their way back.

Very surprised by all the plus scores today.. Need to play much better tomorrow. Good news is we are still in the top 8, but a lot of teams are bunched up and one slip up here or there could plummet us out of the top 8. All to play for tomorrow. The dwags seem to be doing great.. ugh

Hey guys, it looks I may made a mistake with regards to the tournament's procedure. According to the article in AJC by Ken (http://www.ajc.com/news/sports/college/tech-slides-at-ncaa-golf-in-second-round/nmRcw/), the top 15 teams after 3 rounds (tomorrow is round 3) will go through the 4th round on Monday. Then, the top 8 teams after the 4th round will go into match play on Tuesday and Wednesday.

So, we need to be in the top 15 at end of day tomorrow. Tech tees-off at noon tomorrow and is paired with San Diego State and TCU.

OMG, how could you ever make such a mistake? (tic) Thanks for the updates!! Looks like we are ok so far. Really doesn't matter who you are paired with (as long as they aren't flea infested) does it?

Good start today. 6 birdies in the first 4 holes. Whaley with 3 of them..

Whaley's on fire! Another birdie on the 5th hole..
