In this one, they are worried about us running up tempo to further confuse the D. Maybe, but then our D would be on the field a whole lot more. I expect a tough game. Their crowd is usually pretty good. Glad it's not a night game. No idea what our D will do. Expect the O to be good again, no reason to doubt that side at this point.
ST has been overall a pleasant surprise. Hope that improves a bit too.

football outsiders combines its primarily scoring efficiency stat (FEI) with its primarily play success rate stat (S&P+) into a comprehensive stat (F/+) for offense, defense, and Special Teams. A positive F/+, iiuc, indicates how much better than average the team is while a negative F/+ indicates how much worse. This post is saying that the fact that only GT of the top 37 teams is hurt by their D just reinforces how highly their offense is ranked, which is currently #2 behind Oregon (it had been #1 before this past week).

... bottom line - GT Offense is performing very well... Defense, not so good overall.

Uptempo is coming, but we won't waste it on NC State. Maybe Clemson if we need to win to make the ACC Championship Game. But CPJ saves our best wrinkles every year for the Dawgs.
