Georgia Tech has had a good amount of NBA talent since the Cremins year. This post details a team of their best NBA players ever, and will explore how they fare in a tournament against other colleges. Pretty good 12 man squad, though the seeding doesn't do them any favors. There's also some decent talent who didn't make it, like Best, Morrow, and Shumpert.

Jon Barry made the team? I'd even take Drew Barry over him.

Nice read though. GT has a sneakily solid squad of NBAers of the course of its history.

Mark Price was recently named as a Class of 2017 Naismith Hall of Fame nominee. I assume, if selected/elected, he will be the 1st Yellow Jacket to make the Hall?
Yes, Price would be the first if he's selected. It's hard to tell what the criteria is for the Basketball Hall of Fame, but I'd imagine Bosh has the best chance of any GT alum, with Price closely following (since Price played close to 300 less games as a pro than Bosh)

Not sure - I meant of any player who played for GT, regardless of whether they graduated or not.
For closure... you were originally correct. I learned something today & I should have looked it up before my question... ...he is an alum because according to the dictionary an alumnus is "a graduate or former student" Bosh definitely is an alum.

Glad to know that is confirmed. Was going to state that just attending makes a person an alum.

That's us why Jimmy Carter's biography shows him as a GT alum even though his Alma Mater is the US Navy Academy.

They must have forgotten Tom Hammonds & I'd start Kenny over Marbury. I'd like Jarrett Jack along with Best, Morrow & Shumpert.

I think Marbury was a better pro than Kenny, though it was fairly close. Who would you leave off in place of Hammonds?
