According to the press release, they will work on opposition scouting and game planning. So, a lot of film room time.
Good deal. Welcome aboard.

What about winter spring and summer.?

Sure hope the new regime is more transparent- or should say more informative about what's happening.

Good start. Now all we need is about 8 more of these people and we'll be caught up to the middle of the ACC. The sooner, the better.

Did you see the 67 assistant whatevers on the sidelines for Clempson lastnight?

I did and, despite the results of the game, I'm pretty sure that a lot of those people aren't making any material contribution to their program. There's only so much redundancy can contribute. I hope that a school with some people who know about designing organizations would be able to do more with less, but that may not be possible since crews this size are so recent. As Holmes said, ‘It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts." We don't know enough about how these big operations work - and they sure won't tell us - to come up with any hard and fast rules yet. But there have to be private sector analogs Tech could use to get the most bang for the buck.

Are these folks slotting into the roles that were established by the recruiting fundraising campaign from a year ago? Or were those folks who were initially hired retained? If they are replacing the old ones, these hires aren't an actual expansion of the current staff.
I believe these are just replacing previous staff...I've noticed several names from last years support staff that are no longer listed on RW.com

Bonus points for the Holmes quote. That said, I agree there is the law of diminishing returns in some of this but we have been TOO shoestring for too long.
