For Pitchers, the draw really is the 3 years working on technique and at the same time earning hours towards a degree. The stats are out there coming out of High School is lower percentage compared to coming out prepped/bulked, maturer, and ready to go out of college.

I doubt Hurter will go since he had Tommy John surgery last year. He can take the RS year this year and then still have being a junior as a bargaining chip with the team that drafts him.

I think it depends how well Hurter does this year and how high a draft pick he gets. We obviously want him to do very well ........ but it could come at a cost next year for us. Your point is right, he can stay another year and still have leverage.

I think Hurter wasn't on others top 100 (like D1 Baseball) so we'll just have to wait and see.
