We are highlighted at #8, good read and gives some perspective compared to other big name programs.

"Sometimes years like that happen, and there’s no question Georgia Tech will be better in 2016 with a bevy of young players returning (and the constantly defiant Johnson determined to get it fixed), but this was supposed to be a great season. And it’s become a terrible season, which is worse when it’s unexpected"

Every now and then the stars align and a one-off like 1990 Georgia Tech or 1984 BYU has a path to the championship, but by and large it is the province of the bluebloods. And that’s only going to be more pronounced in the Playoff era, where you have to win two games against elite competition.

I don't feel as bad about this season after reading that.

I look at programs like Texas and Auburn - so much wealthier (in terms of talent and resources) but not much better off this season. One thing we have on both of those programs tho is that we don't take winning for granted - we understand better than most that losing is right there in the rear view mirror and will run us over the minute we start coasting.
