Mike Hogewood passed away...

...worked many a game, different sports, for Raycom and the ACC Network.

A great guy who was very enthusiastic whether broadcasting or discussing your favorite school.

Hoggie was even good as a sideline reporter. Very approachable. I met him at a GTWBB game years ago with my special needs son, in the bathroom(Alexander Memorial). He was lathering up with a kit spread out that included Old Spice cologne, at the sink. We had a conversation about GT, the ACC, etc. Befriended my boy, and every time thereafter acknowledged us like family. Very personable, kind, and genuine.

A fine announcer, a familiar voice indeed to ACC fans. Glad to see he had a few years of retirement, but -- geeze, too young. Only 65.
