please TS end the misery of these lame duck years of baseball and bring in some new blood. So sick of watching this predictable losing product and now the HC has a serious case of nepotism. I am almost at the point of giving up on GT baseball until a change is made, TS needs to get a pair and end the misery once and for all.....

+1 but there is no hope on the horizon. Hall is here until his kids graduate. Book it. There are still several big money guys who are in his corner believe it or not. What we have in the baseball program is a casino that loses money. If crowds dwindle enough, even TStan will have to take notice. That is what I am banking on.

The crowds have already dwindled. I was at the unc series last year and there was probably 50 people there and half were unc fans.

I just posted this elsewhere but feel I need to say it since you have nepotism in the title.

Both of the Halls were drafted out of HS. That is more than a lot of our players. They are legit ACC players so there is no nepotism.

Putting a different twist on it & taking this thread in a bit of a different diredtion, even if the Hall brothers are the best two outfielders in right & center, do you think it is hurting us from the recruiting standpoint? If you were a 2019 recruit they played the outfield would you be influenced by the fact that two of the three starters (potentially for the next two and three years) are the coach’s son(s)?

You guys are wrong about the Hall brothers. They are the best players at their positions, and they were recruited by FSU for one example. They will play until they finish their eligibility, as they should, unless a better player comes along. We have no other outfielders who are as good at left and center field. And remember, Clemson is a Top 10 team.

I'm sure many on here just shrug & say what do these posters really know about college baseball. Legitimate question no doubt. Therefore I asked two separate & distinct men who have been in baseball their entire career what they thought about CFDH & the Tech program. One is a former Braves Hall of Fame pitcher, one is a current scout for the Arizona Diamondbacks and once a major league catcher. Lets just say neither had any thing at ALL positive to say about our current coach and the program. These two know more baseball than anyone I know & to put it mildly ....... both said they just can't believe the state that GT baseball has dropped to. Therefore, based on expert opinion, other than my own, I rest my case.

We used to be a top 10 program also. Funny how getting rid of Leggett put a jolt of energy back in their program.

I can believe it with the attitude of our administration. It's an athletic department wide lack of caring. But they love to turn it on the fans as the problem and not being supportive enough. LOL

All I know is that DRad is kicking our... butt. They're 6-0 against us this year in football, basketball, and baseball. And most of them haven't been close.

Nuke, that may well be the case but it doesn't mean that, more than likely, a change in coaching is needed unless a turnaround happens this year. The possible change is compounded by it being very hard to change coaches while two sons are integral parts of the team, so it seems.

Big money guys around the baseball program? They must be former MLB'ers. I doubt anyone else from GT with big money give a rats *** about DH.

You are actually very close with you observations. One is a former MLB player but two others are guys who made their money in finance/banking. All three are big time baseball supporters who have given mucho dollars over the years and are blindly loyal to the current head coach.

And one of the other two was a color guy on the radio broadcasts for many years up until maybe, what, 5 years ago?

Hall's two kids are not even going to be here for one more season. Carter is through as a player.
