When Reeves is healthy, he's the best "all around" player we have. He can score, shoot, create his own shot, defend, rebound, pass...and he has good size to defend multiple positions as well as create mismatches on the offensive end. I love this guy's game.

Team seems to be playing well without him, but we'll be an even better team with a fully healthy Reeves.
He probably needs to shoot better in 3s to be a complete player.

I agree with many posters on here that Wacie can be a valuable contributor on offense, and he can score in multiple ways. When he’s hot, he’s a deadly 3 point shooter, and he’s very athletic finishing at the rim, especially off of base line drives. But, I have to push back on the popular refrain on here that he is capable of creating his own shot. Most all of his dribble drive attacks to the basket that I can remember come from attacking a defender that is late on the closeout. That is a valuable skill , but it is considerably different from being able to break down a 1v1 defender, which is not necessarily one of wacie’s strengths in my opinion.

I would respectfully disagree. His first step is so quick that often time he doesn't get credit for "creating his own shot". There are multiple examples you can bring up in our highlights of him just getting by a defender with one or two bounces and getting to the rim or opening up for a shot. IMO, that's the definition of "creating his own shot". Players don't need to be an Iverson or Kyrie Irving, where they do 3-5 crossovers, beat 2-3 defenders to get to an open shot or to the rim.

Now, is he elite at it? No, those guys are in the NBA. My point is is Reeves probably has the most tools on this team, and he's at least good to very good at most of the things he does. That's valuable to any team.

I’m following this discussion with interest because Reeves is a mystery to me. Last year he had games where he looked like he was playing at a whole different level than anyone else, but then he would have stretches of games where he just kind of disappeared. What is that about?

Last year Ndongo was similarly inconsistent, looking like the best player on the team for much of a game only to look like the rookie that he is the next game. Ndongo I understand. Reeves mystifies me.

Someone explain this to me.

I sure wish we could get Reeves back on the court sooner rather than later to answer some of these questions. He’s a very interesting young man on and off the court. I hope we get more chances to observe his talents.

As far as his inconsistency, I don’t have an answer to that. I don’t know much about his stats at Florida, but I think he has upped his production or at least his efficiency (fewer shots) since transferring to Tech. Maybe his inconsistency is just part of the process of his development.

I agree Reeves was often inconsistent last year when we really needed his offense.I think we will try to redshirt him if he's not back soon.I am already looking to next year we will lose our 2 best players as of today McCollum & Terry.Around this time last season Ndongo & Nait were becoming the best players on the team I am disappointed with both even though Nait is playing a little better of late.
