38-14 FSU in points in the paint
18-4 FSU in second chance points
17-2 FSU in Fast Break points.

But hey, we only had 9 turnovers and were +1 on that stat.

Time with lead:
FSU: 39:25
GT: 00:00

No lead changes. Another wire to wire loss.

If you are keeping score at home, over the last 8 games, GT has held a lead in a game for 10:08 compared the competition's 297:15 (out of 320 minutes). We've led for ten minutes in over 5 hours of play over this span.

Very sobering stats, especially total time trailing in these recent games.

I would like to give a thank you/shoutout to those who still care.

Nearly 7,000 people (listed crowd was over 6,700 and given the baseball game afterward was over capacity at 3,720, that’s actually believable.) decided to spend their Saturday by watching teams with 11-17 and 14-14 records play. I appreciate the fellow Jackets like me who love their team like it’s their own son. Y’all are the real heroes this season, and are why I know that we WILL get through this.

I didn't provide the stat for total time trailing. I gave the stat for the total time with the lead. Can't you read?

You wanna hear...

Isn't the total time opponents led the same as total time trailing? Some people can make connections from data given. That's the whole point to analyzing stats in the first place, you whiney pud.

I actually went to both games today and had a great time at both because I was expecting nothing from the basketball team.

Are you feeling ok? Have you bumped your head recently? Do we need to send someone to do a wellness check?
Not really, thank you for asking :buzz: I'm halfway through a long road trip and my favorite team :gt: stinks.

All that said, I do think Craft is a good shooter. Unfortunately, this offensive setup does not provide him the best looks. Instead, he's asked to create at times. Not his strength. With a different grouping next year, I think he'd do well off the bench.

I'm going to head to the steakhouse next door and have a couple of beers. Tomorrow is one day closer to change.

I found myself watching Craft as he tried to work in the five out offense they were running today and I actually felt sorry for him. He was trying to read what was going on and move to a spot he thought he might be able to get the ball, but there never really seem to be a spot for him. He looked more confused than anything.

I’ve wondered this about a few of our players. They might be an excellent fit with a different team but they are the wrong combination with this team. It still feels like bad chemistry is making everybody less than they are capable of.

Had to watch the recorded game yesterday evening, I will give credit to the team for clawing back at the end of the first half.
Ndongo having foul problem, end if being sick is true, is a big detriment, and Marshall does take up some space but, well... Nevermind.

I think we had an 8 minute or so drought in the second half where we couldn't score a basket. 😲😡
We are the whipping boy for the ACC this year.😞

George is an example. He fit better at Tech, making the whole team’s performance better. It appears he doesn’t fit as well at Syracuse since he doesn’t seem to improve the overall team performance.
I don’t think I can point to anyone who’s developed under Stoudamire. George fit better, but he was mostly who he was once he got on the court after Abrams got benched. Ndongo is who he was, or worse due to health. Reeves is who he was. Lots of other guys who basically never even saw the court, despite 3 or 4 star ratings (that part feels very Collins-esque). Mustaf's numbers are a bit better this year than last, that's maybe the brightest point. But not, like, the leap we need guys to be making if we want to rely on developing talent. And we aren't bringing in enough 5* hits to not need to develop talent...

If George sticks around for another year at Cuse I'm curious if that second year looks any different.

George improved a lot under CDS. To say he did not is simply false. Ndongo improved a lot his 2nd year. This year he has regressed. Not sure why, health, lack of talent around him, too hard to say. Powell improved a bunch last year as the season went along. Mustaf is clearly an improved player this season. He is not close to being All Conference but he is a competent ACC player. He is not a point/lead guard at all.

This year’s team is a very bad team. CDS is coach so that is on him for the roster construction and level of play.

There is no one on the team that other teams have to concern themselves with defending. Simply defend the guy you are covering and all will be well for the opponent. No one on GT requires double teams and most are not good finishers at the basket.

Craft isn't by himself in the confused category.
