So what do you guys think about Todd Stansbury's plan to use "science, technology, innovation, nutrition, and the way we train" to develop athletes, admitting that we probably will not get too many 5 star recruits at Ga Tech?
Obviously recruiting 4 and 5 stars leads to a better chance for success, but I am beginning to buy into his hype that recruiting the guys with the right potential then developing them can make it happen. I remind you that we have beaten teams with a bunch of 4 stars. (Miami?)
Or, do we just believe it is more snake oil to convince us to give money to GTAA?

Well roids is doing wonders for Bama...that’s old science now. Maybe we can find some new science to get good results also...we are GT...

That's why you need a really good S&C program. Anyone can put on mass, but then you are back in the 1980s where every player looked like bodybuilders. Strength, size, speed, and health are all important. ND basically changed overnight on the health and strength front when they hired a new guy two years ago.

It’s actually not possible to see changes over night in this regard. Maybe some other factors played a big part of their success this year. But as you say that change was two years ago. So I don’t doubt they have improved...just not believing it has been the primary component to going unbeaten thus far.

As to our own program. Especially in comparing to the Chan years and development...I’m pretty certain we kept the same S&C coach Chan had and have him still at Tech in the same role today.

No, Sisk joined somewhere around 2012. The coach before him left to train special forces. One of his assistants is the head S&C guy at UGA now.
