Lamar County High coach Franklin Stephens would know, having coached at previously scholarship factory Tucker High. He called Searcy, an incoming freshman wide receiver, “one of the most underrated players I’ve ever coached.”

It'll be interesting to see what happens come games 3 and 4 this year when players come off of suspension.

I will point this out because I almost overlooked it.

His coach didn't say "... the most underrated receiver."; he said "... the most underrated player."

I, for one, find that distinction to be significant.

I really would like to hear him say--"THE most under-rated player"--it lends a lot more weight to the inference
