My favorite is what Woodrow Wilson said once. An organization asked him to give a talk. The ensuing dialog:
"How long a talk?" said Wilson.
"Why does that matter?"
"Well, if it's an hour, I can do it tomorrow. If it's half an hour, I'll need two or three days. If it's 15 minutes, I'll need a week."
How true that is.
