I may have missed this in earlier discussion but why didn't Laskey travel with the team. Are there rules against traveling if you're not going to play. Was glad to see him on the sideline.

But my understanding was he didn't travel with the team. Stayed with family or friends in Pittsburgh, and paid his own way.

I know he was there. The gist of my post was why did he not travel with the team? Are there NCAA rules against it if you don't dress?

I'm not blind, TV showed him most of the 4th qtr.

I would like to know the reason as well. Perhaps, he wanted more freedom from the team for friends and family.

Would have liked to have seen someone else left behind other than Zach. Perhaps I don't see the whole picture.

If you cannot participate in the game........you would be taking away the chance for someone else on the roster to participate. It is part of being a TEAM. If Tech paid for him to travel as not part of the travel team....then it would likely be illegal compensation.

I am not saying it is fair to the kids......it is the screwed up NCAA.

I know one redshirt was suppose to travel with the team to the VaTech game for being scout team POTW but was bumped the day before leaving becase the D needed another body to dress. So stuff just happens. Was nice to see Laskey on the sideline and hopefully he will have that arm out of the sling and be ready to go by Nov. 29th.

That's pretty cool that the staff awards scout team POTW with an away game trip. Sucks you have to lose that spot to need...but it's a "business" decision.
