To me the big problem with this is that he seems to be just regurgitating something he read somewhere else about "controversial chop blocks" without verifying or thinking about it. He probably has no idea what he is talking about, but the more this gets mindlessly repeated, the more it is perceived as true, regardless of the facts. I always fear that there will be rule changes to make run blocking more and more difficult and pass blocking (blatant holding) easier. The best way to defend this offense may be to lobby for rule changes as opposed to trying to defend it on the field. I probably should remove the tinfoil hat and get back to work.
