@Supersizethatorder-mutt:

The last punter who weighed that much was Reggie Robey who really skied those kicks for the Dolphins. Given that we don't have to punt that much as CPJ really hates doing that, this might be an intriguing situation if Mitchell can do the punting down the road as that frees up a scholarship for another full time non-kicker type player.

At 24o Lbs that football is going to take lots of abuse.

College ready body. Smarts. Don't be surprised if Roof trains this kid up and he plays some this year on defense.

With Harrell's departure we are fortunate to have two guys in Mitchell and Vic Alexander who have college ready bodies.

I think Mitchell is one of those LBs kind of like Roof who will know everything backwards and forwards. Won't be the fastest guy but will always be just where he's supposed to be be which is HUGE at LB. Alexander is so aggressive, dyanamic, explosive, and sideline-to-sideline that he's also a great candidate to play. When Alexander learns the defense he is going to be one sick hombre. Cooksey I may be wrong on, but I think he needs to bulk up. Could play on ST's though.

This kid is what we look for. I live in the Knoxville area Webb is one of the top private schools in Tennessee, so he will definitely have the academics down. Wish we could've got Dylan Jackson from Maryville, but we still ended with a stellar class.

My cousin went to Webb. It's a great school for prepping students for a challenge like Tech.

I said earlier that this young man reminded me of Keith Brooking. Looking at his film made me change that; he looks more like Ron Rogers. Not quite as fast as Brooking, but big, strong, hard to block, and with great instincts for the ball, just like Rogers. Of course, we're talking about an embarrassment of riches here. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Roof change the D around in a year or so so that he can have both Mitchell and either Alexander or Cooksey on the field at the same time. When we had Rogers and Brooking all the DL had to do was delay the OL a step. They took care of the rest. We have the potential to see the same kind of play from this class of LBs.
