Kind of Off Topic - Why do all college bands play the exact same songs?

Are they going to fire the whole band?

No, but they might fire the directors, and they’re all pretty beloved by the band members. We don’t want someone new to come in and take years to figure out that engineering students who happen to be in band are different from music majors who have requirements built into their curriculum. Not to mention the culture and traditions that could be lost. It takes a special person to lead the Georgia Tech Marching Band, and we’re lucky enough to have one. Let’s not do something that could screw that up.

If they got rid of Chris Moore, this would be my list of acceptable candidates to take his spot:
1. Chris Moore (hire him back because getting rid of him would be a huge mistake)
2. BJ Diden (unlikely because if Chris Moore is gone, he probably is too)
3. Chip Crotts (also unlikely for the same reason)
4. Andrea Brown (decent candidate due to experience with GT Band but unlikely to leave Michigan)
5. Bring Bucky Johnson out of retirement.

That’s it. That’s the entire list, and not one of those options is better than leaving Chris Moore in place.
