I don’t think they mix and match crews. Crews stick together and build familiarity.
Unfamiliar crews typically result in lots of mistakes and generally $#!tty officiating…..

No, it was an all SEC officiating crew including the replay crew. What you read is that the head ref WAS an ACC ref last year but "hit the portal" in the off-season and this is his first year on the SEC crews.

College football has turned into WWE. I watched a lot of football this year and bet on around 100 games you would be amazed at how much corruption there is in these big games that someone who isn’t following the O/U or point spread would recognize. BS holding calls and insane play calls in certain situations. Ever since gambling became legal in half the states it gets more obvious. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if athletes weren’t gambling on games with NIL money

And didn’t review it for all the viewers to see which is normal practice. Never announced it was reviewed for targeting or tipped ball per normal procedure. This game was absolutely rigged by the $EC/ABC.

If you can objectively look at what happened and not suspect foul play then you are a fool. We will never have proof. The crew can hind behind “missed calls” for most of the crap that happened, but missing the targeting was absolutely intentional…especially now saying that it was “cleared.” That is a painfully obvious violation of the rules caught on video and watched by the official in the game, yet still ignored. Was the game rigged from the start? No. Was that intentionally called wrong in the moment? 100%.

It’s why most of the games I bet on were low marquee games. The officiating in those games is the best in college football. It’s crazy that a game between Jax. State and Liberty the game is clean with zero missed calls but a 8:00 SEC game has 10 missed in the first half

Officials play with a net. It’s called replay. They get mulligans. Players don’t. It’s all human error. This is where I disagree with CBK. That call was the game. It was absolutely worth a TO if it came to that. The replay official could not have denied targeting if forced to review.

Sure they could have found a way to not call it targeting. The review crew takes a nap and has the Ref announce, "the play was reviewed and no targeting occurred." I think Key believed that would occur and chose to hold his timeout for a potential final drive.

The ref looked key dead in the face and told him we reviewed targeting and it was cleared. Hence key saw no point challenging

Bottom line challenging at that point in his mind was pointless and he may need that timeout

Bottom line is it was targeting, look at terry mcauley tweets, and the officials are in the sec pockets to protect the shiny egg and make sure their starter wasn’t suspended for the first half in the championship game

Fyi this same starter has had many targeting calls on him this year. Its how he plays. It was and should always be/go down as a rigged game

My point is not that it would not be ruled correctly, but that CBK challenged that ruling and forced anyone watching to view it over and over at the time. You never know what may have come from the replay official knowing all eyes were upon him.
