You should probably log off and hang out with your familyEasy to say but if nobody wants to stay at Tech and work then we are just screwed. Might as well be FCS.

To be fair he’s probably gonna be in Athens for the game tomorrow.
Y’all tell me the percentage of recruits that commit for an AD?!?!
If he wants to go live in Columbia SC. More power to him. We can find someone else just as good or better.
Yeah…. Damnit. I’m sitting here trying to follow the latest news while my family his here. You should probably log off and hang out with your family
We shall see what happens but, yes, committing to a long term project is a relic of the past. Sadly.I realize I am an old relic and the world is a very different place now, but I would NEVER take a job that I knew was like a 5 year process and make a bunch of commitments and then bail after 2 years. But that is just me ...
The obligatory “we didn’t want him anyway” post? It’s OK to give Batt credit for what he’s done. AND you are 100% right about Cabrera.J Batt ain't all that. Cabrera has been the key to supporting athletics.
Right to note that our AD has done a good job, but he was hired by the president of the Institute, and I'd be a lot more worried about Cabrera leaving than Batt. The obligatory “we didn’t want him anyway” post? It’s OK to give Batt credit for what he’s done. AND you are 100% right about Cabrera.
I agree 100% with this.Right to note that our AD has done a good job, but he was hired by the president of the Institute, and I'd be a lot more worried about Cabrera leaving than Batt.

CBK is a Tech grad, and he bleeds white & gold. IMO, he has his dream job and will stay at Tech for 30 years if the fanbase wants him to.
ADJB, not so much. He has no particular allegiance to Tech and will, IMO, jump at the chance for A) a seat at the grown-ups table (the SEC) or B) the AD job at HIS alma mater, UNC.
Now, look at this photo:

If those were your kids, would you want to raise them in the metro sprawl of Atlanta? Or in a picturesque college town like Chapel Hill?
So, we can increase his salary, but he's a young guy who's been too many other places at this point in his career for me to believe that we can make him love Georgia Tech with all his heart and soul in just two short years. If he doesn't make this move, he'll make the next one.
The clock's been ticking since day one. I just thought we had more than two years.
