I honestly just assumed he would wait until Bubba Cunningham is done at UNC and position himself to take over there. I'd be mildly surprised if he went to a school like USC, but I'm sure it would come with a major pay raise.

I can't imagine leaving so much half done, but if he does choose to leave, I trust Cabrerra to hire a good replacement more than the vast majority of Tech Presidents

Something special is happening at Tech. Once upon a time a person wouldn’t leave before they got to make history. Now days people look for new jobs while their stock is rising and their brand is still hot. Hope this is a false alarm.

You know richer programs are gonna sniff around Batt just like they will sniff around anybody who is successful. Even Alabama had to fight off Texas trying to poach Saban.

It does give me some peace that Batt accepted the position at the CFB Hall. That tells me he plans on sticking in Atlanta for a while. I also doubt that USCe is much richer than GT.

Now that the GT admin seems committed to athletics USCe doesn’t seem like an easier place to win. Same more successful nearby rivals, less unique differentiators.
