Looking over the depth chart again this AM, I am again impressed by how young we are. Here's a sample by position group looking at the top 2 only (unless #3 plays):
OL (10): FR - 3, SO - 4, JR - 2, SR - 1
TE (3): FR- 0, SO - 0, JR - 1, SR - 2
WR (6): FR - 1, SO - 1, Jr - 4, SR - 0
RB (3): FR - 0, SO - 1, JR - 1, SR - 1
QB (2): FR - 1, SO - 1, JR - 0, SR - 0
DL (8): FR - 1, SO - 1, JR - 6, SR - 0
LB (4): FR - 1, SO - 0, JR - 1, SR - 2
DB (10): FR - 1, SO - 3, JR - 4, SR - 2
K (2): FR - 1, SO - 0, JR - 1, SR - 0
P (2): FR - 1, SO - 0, JR - 1, SR - 0
Total (50): FR - 10, SO - 11, JR - 21, SR - 8
About 65% of the players getting snaps this season are SO/JR. 20% are FR!!! Only 15% are SR.
I take this as a good sign for the future, and part of the reason for the inconsistency we've seen.
