The GT official team roster still lists Jorgenson as a Freshman? Did the NCAA give him another year of eligibility? And why is Sampson still listed as a Junior? He played 3 full years at ECU.

Yep, he got a medical redshirt .

Don't think this is right. Aren't eligible to apply for a medical redshirt until you've exhausted your regular eligibility. Pretty sure 5 games was below the 10% of available games, meaning he was a regular redshirt last year.

Since his original RS year was used to recover from an injury, if he were to be injured again and lose a season, he could apply for a Medical RS year and get a 6th year. That's the big distinction. If he would have used the RS year to get bigger/stronger/faster, he probably would not have been eligible for a medical RS year. At least that used to be the rule.
