Injury updates?

Hamstrings are very problematic and easy to reinjure. My suspicion is they will shut him down for the year. He is a tremendous talent and I don't think they will risk it even if it cost them a win the remainder of the season. We would probably be underdogs to all of our remaining opponents and clearly the 2 on the road- NC State and maybe Miami if we get there.

Is this Jamious Griffin hurt? It could’ve been stated somewhere else, but can’t locate it.

Mason was injured. They taped up his ankle after he came out. So he clearly has a sprain. How bad or how fast he can recover is unknown. I am also surprised about Griffin since he was the number two runner last year and had some good moments. If he doesn't play and isn't hurt, I would be concerned if he will transfer. He is clearly number 3 or 4 on the RB charts.

Having messed up my hamstring several times, I think it all depends how bad it is. As long as he warms up good, I don't see a problem with him playing.

Reinjuring it would only mean losing a game or two and it'll heal in a couple months for sure.

BJS was a 4-star RB in high school - haven’t seen him on ATL in a minute. Griffin and Gibbs currently out. It’s not like we have a lot of 4-star guys. To lose 3 of them at one position and still be okay there is amazing. I think we can win even if Dontae Smith is it. Hopefully Mason is okay.

When Mason was tackled, he went down a bit awkward, but it didn't look too bad. Although you never know about these things, it appeared on the surface to not look serious if its his ankle.

Howard was back at RB for this game and ATL. Thought that was interesting. He also got into the game late at RB (before BJS).
Good. I never understood why he was moved in the first place. He can really hit a hole.

And, ye, if Gibbs and Mason can't go, Smith can do just fine. He's almost as fast as Gibbs and he runs harder.

I don't mean to down one of our guys, but I'm thinking that rating was inflated a bit. He's not been impactful on either side of the ball. To steer this to a positive ending though, I recommend leaving him on special teams where he seems to be good in kick coverage.

I thought he had a decent impact at LB, I still don't understand why he thought he was going to be an all-star RB with the group we have right now. But if he'd rather ride the pine at RB than be on the field at LB, well I guess that is his choice.

I think I noticed BJS listed at RB on the depth chart last week.

Any word on who travelled to NC State? Any updates?

Saw on another post that Gibbs travelled. While he may not play, that's good for being more likely to play Thursday against Pitt.
it would surprise me to see Gibbs playing any more this year , hamstring injury just need time lots of time or it's going to happen every year. Not something you want to see each year.
