IF King is out for VT, does Pyron get the start?

ND is a tough one to jump into as the backup QB. I also didn't feel like the play calling did him any favors, but he also didn't jump off the page imo.

I presume he's the starter if King is out, but is there a chance they put Philo in?

Watching the press conference from Tuesday, I’m pretty sure CBK winks at the reporter who asks the last question about Philo right before the video ends. Not saying that it means anything, just that I found it interesting.

What was the question and what was his answer?

I don’t remember exactly. It was about how Aaron Philo is doing and the answer was pretty generic. I’d recommend watching the video for further details.
He said he was doing pretty well and that Key was happy where he was. To remember that he's only been here since January but that he was going to be a good player (I may be mixing two separate comments from two different PCs, but that was the gist.

I don't really have any qualms about either Pyron or Philo, provided Tech can run the ball. If Zac is hurt - and he sure didn't look healthy in the 4th against ND - then Philo is the guy. If not, game experience rules. Oh, and, yes, Philo can run (1200 yards, 32 TDs); check his high school stats. He's no speed demon, but he can keep his feet in the trash

We'll see soon enough.

Maybe it is simply because that reporter posted a story about Philo moving up to the second string QB for the VT game this week almost immediately after the press conference?

Hood point. Maybe Brent and Chad talked before and they agreed on the question to be asked as a favor to Chad for his soon to be released article and a soft ball for Key to give some praise to Philo. Hence the wink.

This shouldn't even be a discussion question. Pyron is years ahead of Philo right now. It may not always be that way, but it is right now.

That being said, if Zach is struggling, I wouldn't be surprised to see Philo for a series or two.
just curious when the last time that actually happened at GT when a starter at QB was struggling at they took him out for a series or two to put in a true frosh? Folks with better memories than me does anyone know?
