How would you handle the new redshirt rule?

I'd split them up for special teams duties. A CB, Safety, or LB who will redshirt should get at least 2-3 games of kickoff/punt duties. Similarly, OL/DL can block on FGs and XPs. Gives them something to fight for and focus on in practice, gives them a chance to show skills on film, etc.
