A singular figure in Georgia Tech’s athletics history, Homer Rice will be honored Friday with the unveiling of a statue in his likeness on Callaway Plaza outside Bobby Dodd Stadium.

Outstanding! One of the very few, and very high up the list, of those who saved our athletics program. Directly related to Cremins, Ross, Blackmon, Heppler, Morris, Hall and others.

They should name the stadium after him. Just wondering if anyone knows, is there another budget where funds pay for statues on the Tech campus or would this one be funded by the Athletic Department? Not taking issue out of this, just curious.
