Solid win tonight. Got up big early and were then challenged by a very good Syracuse team. Our ladies stepped up and got it done with a double digit win.

Was looking at the rankings during the game. AP poll, Tech #27 receiving 25 votes, Syracuse #28 receiving 20 votes. Coaches poll, Syracuse #27 receiving 45 votes, Tech #36 receiving 1 vote...

Am I wrong? If so, what is the correct way to refer to the Georgia Tech Women's basketball team? Are they still "girls" in their 20's? Is Jose Alvarado still a boy?

I understand your point. 'Young man" and "young woman" are good descriptors of people in their 20's. But "boys" and "girls" is disrespectful and viewed as an insult by many.

Actually......yeah. There really isn’t any huge reason to make mountains out of molehills like that. The term is NOT derogatory.
