She enrolled at VA Tech last summer, then never registered for the Fall (or dropped out shortly after the semester began). Something upset her life. Clearly, she was, and I suppose still is, a very talented basketball player. With four years of eligibility left, she would add to our four incoming freshmen. From a claass balance standpoint, that isn't the best option.
They have already begun the search for a new coach, but this seems an odd time to announce a retirement, especially since she hasn't been coaching the team for the past year. Maybe after 50 years she decided not coaching was an OK way to spend the rest of her life. A HOF Coach, she really doesn't have anything left to accomplish.
I would be surprised if either Jenkins or Sendar are being recruited by GT.
I asked the same thing. Couldn’t get an answer that was for certain. Did some online searches and decided that Katie and Kate are one in the same. She goes by both according to Brandon Clay. So yes, she’s a Matt Harpring child. Hearing she is quite the tennis player, too!
