Dude, not the time. Take a look at all his games and reassess. I love the kid’s heart, but he’s likely started his last game for Georgia Tech.Zach had an uncharacteristically bad game today,

I don't know. My reaction going away from this game was that if Virginia Tech had a decent quarterback and a better offensive line this could have been a whole lot worse than it was. If anyone on these teams are getting a lot of NIL money, they should give it back.Agree. But when did he have that D? D really played well today. I went away from this game thinking we should have won.
Think we have seen enough of Pyron. Philo has a much better shot at being the future, lets just make sure we do not burn his shirt by playing him in 5 gamesZach had an uncharacteristically bad game today, hopefully he can shake it off and improve the next chance he gets. The offense as a whole started out effective outside of drive stopping mistakes, but just got worse and worse as the game went on.
Glad to see Birr make both field goals, need to get him back making them all.
Key had more wtf clock management moments.
Defense played well. Tackling was improved, did a good job shutting down their star RB. Great job of getting VT in 3rd and long and then defending it. Our run D is easily the best most consistent part of our team this year which is surprising to say the least.
Somebody else needs to field punts besides Shelley.
Philo can play in 2 more and not lose his redshirt year.
I'm willing to be wrong. It just feels like even the most mediocre QB can look decent behind a good OL. And I'm holding out hope Pyron is at least mediocre.I don’t think it’s fair to blame the OL. They played Ok. QB (and honestly WR) play was bad today.
NC State we can beat no matter who is the QB? If they watched this game, the Wolfpack is probably thinking the exact same thing.
There's no such thing as perfection, but the D played a very good game today.I will agree except for those 2 busted plays where the receiver ran uncovered. Missed assignments which led to 2 td's. Overall they played really well in the second half.
At least not for a P4 team.59th in offensive efficiency before the game. Probably close to 66th or so afterward. I do not think we have to be concerned about CBF leaving us for a head gig after this season.
I could be wrong, but I thought the WR coach got hired by the school from AthensFifth, Key needs to find out why our receivers can't get open more. (I know some think our OL is worse than last year but I see the receivers be worse, is it the coach for the receives, or did last year go to their head)
How in the hell do we go from the best rushing offense in the ACC to one of the worst in one season with essentially the same playersQuote from Chad Bishop in AJC article on game.
"Playing without injured starter Haynes King and going with backup quarterback Zach Pyron as his replacement — before eventually going to third-string quarterback Aaron Philo, a freshman, Georgia Tech failed to score a touchdown for the first time since a 42-0 loss to Mississippi on Sept. 17, 2022, and for the first time in an ACC game since a 14-8 loss to Clemson on Sept. 18, 2021. The Yellow Jackets’ experienced and veteran offensive line could do little to spring running back Jamal Haynes against the league’s worst rush defense either".
Georgia Tech inept on offense in loss at Virginia Tech
Tech failed to score a TD for the first time since a 42-0 loss to Ole Miss in 2022, and for the first time in an ACC game since a 14-8 loss to Clemson in 2021.www.ajc.com
Agree with your last line especially. Health is our #1 priority right now.First the defense played a very good game.
second, I'm not so sure our OL is as good as we thought (may have had more to do with a healthy King and Haynes making them look good)
Third I hate Pyron didn't have a good game (If it was because he was playing hurt, I want to know which coach made that decision)
Forth I thought Philo looked good (but I promise you someone will come after him with a bigger NIL than we can offer) we need to find a way to keep him.
Fifth, Key needs to find out why our receivers can't get open more. (I know some think our OL is worse than last year but I see the receivers be worse, is it the coach for the receives, or did last year go to their head)
Last if we get a healthy King and I mean a real healthy King we can beat any on our schedule if the defense plays well.
Agree with everything except - Miami's offense is simply too good this year. King needs to get fully healthy. It is concerning seeing him miss 2 games with "an upper body injury." Hope he is able to return this season. We need WR's and we need someone to kick the OL back into gear. Neither had a good game today. Too many skill position injuries now. Been that way since early on. Need a week off. Miami may be ripe for an upset.
ETA: King masks our offensive weaknesses.
Nope the BP aren't BULPSo our commitment to RUN THE BAWL meant both our top two QBs have been playing hurt? Yeesh.
That usually doesn't matter with a GT defense. All the “defense looked good” comments…Yall realize VT has one of the worst offenses in the country right?
