I did not have only scoring 6 on my bingo card.

Once again, if Chris Cotter calls the play by play, we lose. Weird streak on the ACC Network.

I can’t get stats now, but I’ll see if I can pull up the five factors later.

Philo looked promising. We gotta make catches.

Has our best drive of almost every game been our first one? How has the offense regressed so much in terms of actually putting points on the board
I have noticed this as well. It looks like BF can diagram plays with lead time but struggles to adjust in real time (during games). Maybe it's just inexperience. Where did our TE's go after the first quarter????

Philo looks promising
But a predictable, stale and poorly executed 3 quarters of offense

We owe it to our DL and Santucci for this not being 6-42

Very nice of the refs to rob us of an obvious fumble @3:20 in the 4th to bleach the wound

Who know plays are over before whistles are blown!! You just have to guess
We owe it to Virginia Tech being almost as bad on offense as we are. Drones is not in the tradition of great Hokie quarterbacks in the past and their line is just as bad as ours. Two very mediocre teams flailing away at one another. This team has regressed from last year.

Defense played probably best game all season. Offense was abysmal. Philo is going to be a good one if we can keep him.

I like Key, but his in game coaching is starting to look more and more disappointing as the games go on. I want him to succeed, but I just don’t think he’s a great game day coach. Not sure we’re going to ever make a big season with him. Hope I am wrong.

The fact Key kept running Pyron out for so long when it clearly wasn’t happening today is the stuff I’m talking about. Gives us no chance when Philo is basically having to run a 2 minute drill the entire time he’s in because we’re down by multiple scores late.

Buster has pretty much solidified that he is not going to be poached by anyone. If our OLine isn’t blowing guys 3-4 yards off the ball every play I think we now see his play calling is vanilla and unimaginative. He’s been a huge disappointment to me.

We are staring at 5-7 very clearly at this point. I thought NC st would be a pretty confident win, but I don’t think so at this point, will be lucky to pull that one out.

We need WR's and we need someone to kick the OL back into gear. Neither had a good game today. Too many skill position injuries now. Been that way since early on. Need a week off. Miami may be ripe for an upset.

ETA: King masks our offensive weaknesses.

More I think of it. Straight up Chan Gailey offensive performance. No confidence ina my one to execute anything. Just a consistent play for a chance to win late on one drive. Weak strategy, weak execution.

If we don’t show some promise soon on O I’m worried we are years away from being an 8-9 win team.

Defense balled out today and carried the momentum from the second half of the ND game. Good to see a pass rush once again.

Offense looked awful but Philo showed out and proved he belongs. The line didn’t do any favors and got pushed around all day long which is getting to be an all too familiar phrase this year. Receivers dropped catchable balls today that would have extended drives and possibly put points on the board. Buster’s offense once again looked awful conceptually. No WR separation, no scheming guys open. Way too predictable in when we run once again. Just no innovation after some beautifully designed plays last year.

We look awful in league play which is the most disappointing thing on the season. We could very well be in the top five in the conference had we had some innovation from the OC. Oh well, time to let this marinate for the next two weeks.

Positives:
Philo had a good first experience
Jamal not seriously injured (I hope)
Defensive effort
Two, count em two! FG from the right hash

Negatives:
ZP didn't play well. I want to root for him
OL seems to be regressing instead of improving

Uncertainties:
ST and CBs played well overall. WTH happened with our coach?
Playcalling? Is it uneven bc of injuries, or bc of coaching? Both?
Can we grab our 6th win? Not playing like we have lately.

GT fandom is hard......

We were able to get short yardage early, but nothing explosive. That was the problem today… Before Philo came in, I think we had 0 explosive plays. If we are leading and running at will that’s ok, but we were down all game. We needed to try to push the ball.

I do wonder if Phillo like Pyron a few weeks ago only practiced a handful of packages this week.

I'm not sure what to make of Pyron, has he regressed or is the on-line around him regressing.

This board loves the back up QB way too much. It’s very clear King makes our offense go. 13 points last week and 6 this week without King.

#5 had a horrible day and his WRs didn’t help him. #22 was solid but no points produced. His receivers didn’t help him either.

Defense played very well. VT was very conservative as they knew we couldn’t score a TD.

Nice to make a FG. Punting stinks as does punt returning.

Good to have a week off.

Really worried about Ling’s injury.
