The dwags are going to come into the game fat and happy from thanksgiving turkey and looking ahead to the SEC championship. The Jackets will abstain on Thursday and come in hungry, for on Friday they will feast.

The NC State D pretty much shut us down until the last drive where they (thankfully) went into the prevent D mode. It would be interesting to see how Buster learns from that and what he can and will do differently Friday. I have a Uga alum in my golf group. He knew I was at the game Thursday and asked my opinion about the upcoming COFH. I said the line looks about right to me and that I would feel much better if Haynes King were 100%. (didn't say it but JH and Malik need to be 100% as well). Fortunately, CBK has shown that he doesn't think much of point spreads/betting opinions/or rankings. See #4 Miami as the latest example of many. WTBS, I am going to pick Tech to win in our prediction contest, probably 31- 24.

Rather than looking ahead, I’ve had Ga neighbors / coworkers fussing about the fact that now they even have to play the SECCG. I’ve reminded them that they might be very relieved about having the SECCG opportunity after Friday night!

A strong performance by us even in a close loss combined with a loss in the SIC championship could be enough to keep them out of the playoffs. That would be a nice consolation prize but obviously nowhere near a win

We have a puncher's chance but there is still a huge depth and talent gap between GT and UGA.
  1. Does the preseason Heisman hyped Carson Beck show up from the first play or does he sleep walk his way through the first half?
  2. A healthy Haynes King's shoulder would make me feel more confident as he is a dual threat when healthy but it has been a long time since he was. We may have to settle for the the dual threat of King and Philo, or go with Philo. Only problem with rotating QB's being the Dawg's D will line up for the run vs King and the pass vs Philo, removing the element of surprise.
  3. Just like Miami, in order to win and compete, we need ball control, burn the clock and the D bends but doesn't shatter. Special teams must bring their A+ game, as simple as a GT final chemistry or physics exam.
  4. I was in Athens in 2014 when GT stunned UGA 30-24 in overtime. To quote my buddy who finally agreed to attend the game with me after I hounded him for several weeks, "I am so f-ing glad you convinced me to come to this game". What a beautiful ride back to Atlanta is was.
  5. Go Jackets, shock the world.

I forget how much I hate these mfers until hate week, and eeeeee-specially game day. God I want this one bad. We gotta play a similar game as Miami, but even more focused.

Defensively we've gotta stay in our run fits because UGA will try and run on us. We can't have an nc state showing and get out of gaps and get gashed. Make them beat us with Timmy thru the air. Then get our edge rushers all over Bleckkk and have efford clean up the rest.

Unfortunately NC St. learned from Miami. When King was in they really stacked the box. If King can't throw and keep them honest, it is really difficult to open up the run game. If that's the case, I think we have a better chance with the Philo.
