GT vs Clemson Final Stats/Participation Report

20th from worst all-time in yards given up per play. It’s amazing that 2014 turned out so well for us. Five of the 40 worst yards per play games happened in 2014 (#4 - Georgia Southern - 8.8 YPP, #8 - Miami - 8.0 YPP, #9 - Pitt - 8.0 YPP, #18 - FSU - 7.7 YPP, #39 - Miss. State - 7.2). I guess that shows how great the offense was that year.

It also shows that the defense was really reliant on turnovers. The extreme case is the Pitt game where they fumbled on 4 of their first 6 plays, and 5 straight drives to open the game. That's not exaggeration either. There was also the case where our defense outscored both Clemson's offense and our own.
