I haven't rewatched the game yet myself, but I remember the counter trap to the AB working very well. I think the backside DE getting so far in the backfield would run himself out of the play when we ran the trap.

@Longestday - We could really see, and you pointed to it in your explanation, that Waller really wanted to win that battle. His play this season has been one of the bright lights. Having Smelter get the ball in space has to be one of the scariest things our opposing DCs have to think about. What an athlete!

It's seems apparent Tenuta wanted to take JT and the pitch out of the running game and make us beat them with the dive or pass. The fact we have all 4 threats at our disposal makes it really hard for DC's to game plan us. It really is a pick your poison situation. CPJ is a master at calling plays that put us in position to take advantage of what the defense is giving us. Thanks again LD!

I am not sure either guy could get there. I think the DE timed the snap really well.
