My percentages were trash tho so the neighbors graded me down. Ever hear of sabermetrics? Well we had 'neighbor-metrics'.

Whitlock looks like a CG while Garland feels like a true point. Im hoping we get both. There are plenty of shots available and Whitlock looks like a high motor guy off the ball.

-Someone posted on another board that Malik Mack may have made an under the radar visit to GT. The Nova board has alot of traffic regarding him as well.
-Has anyone seen Luke Wilson from App State play at all? Native of Augusta GA, averaged 11 and 8 with nearly two blocks per game last season, traditional big. Have seen absolutely nothing regarding his transfer.

ETA: I thought Folefac was visiting Cuse over the weekend but it was apparently the weekend before according to Neil Adler. He was at Tech last week.

Despite a bad game against Nebraska, Dowd was easily Troy's best player last season and the one from their team I want the most.
I'm keeping just a sliver of hope since he hasn't signed with any other school yet.

Dowd went for 19/12 against USC and 25/19 against SD ST. He is a rebounding beast. He also shot a higher percentage at all 3 levels than Valdez. There is a reason he was 1st team all-Sun Belt, and Sun Belt Tourney MVP.

Valdez was 3rd in win shares and 2nd in PER on Troy last year.
I'm very happy to have him and expect him to be a solid rotational player for us. He is interesting to watch as his game is sort of different. He is not very athletic, his game is very below the rim, but he has very good hands - hence the strong assist and steal numbers. His shooting splits are not very good (except for FT). Neb was his best 3-pt shooting game all year (the only game he made more than two three-pointers in a game all year). His shooting percentages actually bring down his ORtg quite a bit. He is a solid defender despite not being very quick.
I see him as sort of a point forward type. In the half court he can take some of the ball handling pressure off the guards - that could be especially beneficial if we get more of a scoring PG than a distributor.

Victor was one of 3 Troy players I was hoping would follow Cross to GT (Dowd and Cooper Campbell are the other 2).

So far I am fine with how the roster building is going. Probably going to be another 2-3 weeks before we really see how this is shaping up.

Guy that is friends with Thomas Dowd on Trilly's discord said that Auburn tampered with him all last year. Unless Texas Tech or someone drops a major bag, he was headed to Auburn.

I get it. Just felt like we had too many scholarship players last year and no one knew their roles. Whitlock appears to be our “bucket-getter”. But I do like Akai. I would think he’s looking for a more prominent role than playing behind Whitlock
