Another solid game, but we needed spectacular.
We went into the game with #18 ST rankings and probably came out the same since it was another solid performance and so few games were played. This should be where we end up the year. Pretty good and a bit of a move up from #22 last year.
Overall, I think ST rankings are largely determined by the quality of your kicker/punters and coaching of the return / coverage teams and quality of players. This is another data point that we are building a quality team (emphasis on team).
No damage was done in the FSU kick returns. Rodwell punted twice; one OOB at 25 and one fair caught at 10. Butker had five kick offs with two TBs and three returned to between the 25-28. We all know about the failed on-sides discussed at https://gtswarm.com/threads/onside-kick.5450/
Likewise, our kick and punt returns didn't do much.
All the extra points were good and clean. No field goal attempts.
