GT researchers: colleges too optimistic about social distancing

As usual GT nerds over thinking and not seeing the answer right in front of them.

Simple - only allow students who are citizens of the state of Ga (and coincidentally who have parents paying taxes supporting the school) along with S/As to attend class.

Any room left over goes to those from Southern States.

But by that logic of only considering money, students coming from outside of Georgia pay way more in tuition to attend the school, so in that case wouldn’t they be given preference? From my understanding the higher out of state tuition was to try and counteract the lack of taxes they pay to help the school, so I think looking at it from just a location aspect is not enough.

what does being in state and out state have to do with the article, or the research?

did you read the article? Folks are just trying to optimize a physical space for social distancing to understand if it’s even possible to have in class learning.

Georgia Tech did not build a reputation as one of the very best public universities in the country with such provincial thinking. I can only assume that you are joking.

Actually shouldn't it only be out of state and international students as they are the smartest ones most likely to benefit? (equal sarcasm on a nice troll)

The classroom is probably the least of the worries. Parties, study groups, and dorms are going to be a mess for this. See testing results for a large number of teams that have come back to campus.
