So, Peacone, would your assessment be that players today are more temperamental?

I think this one qualifies as a thud. Tulsa has played 2 games - he has played in 1 game for 4 minutes with 4 points and no rebounds. Was it a soft landing or with a thud?
Temperamental would not be the adjective of choice. So, Peacone, would your assessment be that players today are more temperamental?

Lots of talent left after that and lots of talent coming in. And then there’s the transfer portal +/-. Every year in MBB is now a whole new adventureI figured my question belongs in a general topic and didn’t want to start a new thread. I have watched but kept up with from a distance. But I have a question for those that keep up much more closely. It looks like we are a team with an older big who will leave for the draft, a young big that is going to be one a one and done, and the glue guy (reeves) going to be gone after this year. Am I missing something that is giving a bright light for the future? CDS seems to have been able to get the big recruits, but when I watch the game I can’t seem to see any actual system. So can somebody please help show me the path we are on?
I don’t want this to come off as doom and gloom. I just generally want to know the good we have set up for the future
I feel much the same way…especially as the younguns may not stick around 4 yearsI figured my question belongs in a general topic and didn’t want to start a new thread. Unless Ndongo can show an outside game I don't see him as an NBA player. Sylla, it's way too soon to say, He got physically abused against UGA. His offensive game is very limited at this point. The bigger issue is both leaving for NIL dollars from other colleges. As we saw this past offseason that is a real possibility!I figured my question belongs in a general topic and didn’t want to start a new thread. I have watched but kept up with from a distance. Sylla seems awfully raw at this point and needs to develop other aspects of his game. It was good to see him take a 3 pointer as that gives the other team something to think about.Unless Ndongo can show an outside game I don't see him as an NBA player. Yes, he seems way too raw right now to warrant a spot in the NBA.Sylla seems awfully raw at this point and needs to develop other aspects of his game. It was good to see him take a 3 pointer as that gives the other team something to think about.
Unless he shows growth over the course of the season, he may be back with us next season (unless he is recruited away via NIL). I can't see an NBA team wanting to invest a pick on someone that scores primarily down low or via alley oop plays. An additional year for development would serve him well and could pay off in the future.
I don't think that would stop a team from drafting him. I can see a team defensive drafting him on principle just to avoid somebody else getting himYes, he seems way too raw right now to warrant a spot in the NBA.
Dereck Lively II got taken in the 10th spot with 5 points and 5 rebounds per game in 20 minutes as a college freshman. But he's 7'1" too. Ndongo was definitely too short to be drafted on potential + interior D. Not sure about Sylla yet.I don't think that would stop a team from drafting him. I was definitely thinking of Sylla as a potential pick. Baye is going to have to earn his selection this year. So far, his move to the 4 has been a bit of a transition.Dereck Lively II got taken in the 10th spot with 5 points and 5 rebounds per game in 20 minutes as a college freshman. But he's 7'1" too. Yeah, I think he's definitely got a chance, but hopefully they both make a lot of in-season progress anyway. Don't want to keep guys just because they don't progress quickly enough to be major weapons!I was definitely thinking of Sylla as a potential pick. NBA teams do it all the time. Clint Capela, Okungwu was a Top 10 pick, Maluak from Duke last year, Donovan Clingan, etc. An extra year would serve him well but the NBA is still a possibilitySylla seems awfully raw at this point and needs to develop other aspects of his game.
