GT Grades as a C+

According to USA Today that's the final grade for the season.

Syracuse got a B which is strange since Tech kinda beat the hell out of them.
Other than that I concur although no reason was given.

No it's strange they rated higher than Tech. Tech beat them down, they did win their bowl game though.

Does the grading determine the strength of each team, or for their overall effort and performance toward their expectations durint the year?

Grading outcome versus expectation, I'd agree with these grades. Since I expected more out of GT than most of the media, I'm not sure how they can do that.

We had a losing record of 5 - 6.

7-6 is still a winning record. Discount the FCS games all you want, be they were on our schedule and we played them. They would have counted in the loss column if we would have lost, so they count in the win column. As far as I'm concerned "C's" are like they were in high school or Grad School, not an acceptable grade.

An F to me would be if we lost every game. I think we deserve an even C... That's just me though

F would have been losing the bowl streak...season could have been worse that it was.
