That’s a quality control title. My guess is “yes, he was on staff”
Boy that was up awfully fast! Was he already on the staff???
The analysts/quality control people are like second string coaches.Key always seems to have a backup coach waiting in the wing.
Brumfield had both special teams and CBs, but Tim Salem has been named special teams' coach. That would give us one more coach than we had, though. Is that right? Both CB's & ST I think
Seems that way to me.Brumfield had both special teams and CBs, but Tim Salem has been named special teams' coach. That would give us one more coach than we had, though. Is that right?
I don't think Tim is an actual coach per NCAA definitions. They've changed the rules on how many analysts can actually get involved with the team so could be a situation where he's just helping out of ST and not an official coach.Brumfield had both special teams and CBs, but Tim Salem has been named special teams' coach. Every game it seems we give up a WIDE=OPEN receiver for a TD but thats not just on the CBs.Wondering if mayeb it was CB play that lead to the argument over the ST snafus. our CBs seem to have taken a step back this year.

I get what you say but whatever we did or not they got a free TD which for a team that's playing close, it kills..Its not but it can be on not communicating the hand off right in zone. If we are doing a curl flat style coverage and the CB abandons his guy before the safety is over top we got a problem. You are suppose to stick with your guy until the hand off (if the safety doesn't get over top you stay with your guy and eat the potential underneath) I've seen us get burned here both bec aus ethe corner never handed off leading to a unintentional doubl team and rb in the flats pickign upa first down and a corner jsut flat out jumping the flat and leaving the go route open.
That it does. Thats actually the play i don't think happens if Efford was out there. That was pre-snap bust.I get what you say but whatever we did or not they got a free TD which for a team that's playing close, it kills..
We seem to be caught short in the linebackers room... review recruiting, that trend continues, unless there is a portal solution as a stop gap. Afford has been hiding that deficiency and now we are exposed...That it does. Thats actually the play i don't think happens if Efford was out there. That was pre-snap bust.

Zeke and Lockett would allow us to run a 3-3-5. We don't seem to be recruiting a 330+ # DL so far for Nose Tackle.OUr issue is we were running a 4-2-5 under a collins as well. Fewer backers, more tweeners recruited for nickel. We need more bodies and good ones. Sadly finding the tyep fo linebacker that can pass cover and run fill for basically half a field is hard. Its why philosophically i don't think we should be running a 4-2-5 or really anything that relies on 4 down lineman either.
We should be running a 3-3-5 based gap scheme. Taking risk to generate negative plays and turnovers. Sure we'll give up some plays here and there but the scheme is designed to use exotic blitzes to confuse pass pro and generate free rushers.

Or since the head coach knows efford is out , they are running a hurry up after a big play , thechead coach or dc calls time out. That it does. Thats actually the play i don't think happens if Efford was out there. That was pre-snap bust.
